Health & Safety Policy.


Jacks Engineering Control Solutions Ltd recognises that Health and Safety is extremely important and contributes to good business performance and will therefore receive equal priority to that of all other business objectives.
The basis of good health, safety and welfare standards is through the systematic identification of hazards and the adequate assessment and control of risk to which persons are exposed.
Hence the company will:​
 

  • Ensure that plant and equipment provided is maintained in a safe state of repair.

  • Ensure all employees will be made aware of their safety responsibilities in order to ensure their safety and the safety of others who are affected by their acts or omissions.

  • Provide each employee with such training, instruction, supervision and information as is necessary to enable the safe performance of their tasks.

  • Maintain safe and healthy working conditions.

  • Consult with employees on matters affecting their Health and Safety.

  • Endeavour to prevent accidents and cases of ill health.

  • Review the policy annually or after any major changes in systems of work and adapt to meet any incident trends or new legislation that has come into effect.


Generic Risk Assessments.


These are included as appendix to the Health & Safety Policy. They include risk assessments for- Use of and maintenance of electrical equipment, Low voltage electrical work, Installation of tray work/electrical trunking, Scaffolding & Mobile towers, Cable Pulling and Use of Hand Tools 

Risk Assessment.


The purpose of a risk assessment is to identify hazards and ensure that appropriate control measures are put in place to control the risks. 

Method Statement.


Following a risk assessment the method statement is written to identify; hazards, control measures, plant & Equipment used, special requirements, technical support and sequence of work.
